Individual coaching services are available on a pay-as-you-go basis, or in 1, 3 or 6-month programs - where we can focus on specific health challenges - or work in a more holistic way to develop a comprehensive, all-around strategy and health plan.
Though single sessions can be extremely beneficial, and progress can be made, in truth clients see better results engaged in a wellness program. So I recommend starting with a 4-session, 1 month option which lays the foundations for vibrant health through a program focused on 4 cornerstones of holistic health - mind, body, heart, soul. Programs are essentially a more cost-effective way of investing in your health; compared to purchasing individual sessions. They're multi-session 'packages' where we can spend the right time deep-diving into health & well-being to create an even more vibrant you.
Coaching Sessions
The coaching sessions happen via phone and/or skype/zoom sessions. If we can meet face-to-face that's often a worthwhile option worth considering, but not essential.
Prior to your first coaching session, you will need to complete a health & wellbeing questionnaire, which will provide the foundation for the coaching sessions. It helps both you and I to determine which areas of your health and wellbeing goals are most important to you, how ready you are for change and how we can best achieve your health goals.
The Steps Involved in the Coaching Process
STEP 1:
YOUR REASONS TO CHANGE?
Why do you really want to change? The coaching process will help you unravel your true, deeper reasons behind your desire to change certain aspects of your health and wellbeing. The stronger and more meaningful these reasons, the easier it will be for you to stay focussed and reach your goals.
STEP 2:
KEEP SETTING SMART GOALS
Big goals need to be broken down into small, achievable and specific goals. This is important to keep you motivated and on track. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time, right? Setting goals increases your accountability and ticking these off as you go along can be extremely rewarding.
STEP 3:
DEVELOPING STRATEGIES
Don't be fooled - behaviour change isn't easy. Things can and probably will get in the way. It's all part of the journey. Through coaching you will learn strategies to help you overcome any obstacles along the way and to simply be prepared when things don't quite go as planned.
STEP 4:
TAKING RESPONSIBILITY & FEELING EMPOWERED
Health coaching doesn't provide you with quick fix solutions to your health problems. I'm sorry! Instead, it hands the responsibility over to you. Your coach will support and guide you along the way. But really, you're in control. That sense of empowerment can be greatly satisfying.
STEP 5:
CREATING HABITS & LASTING CHANGE
Ultimately, it's not just about reaching your goal and ticking off a box. In order to achieve long-term behaviour change your healthy habits need to become ingrained in your daily routine just like eating, drinking, having a shower and brushing your teeth. Congratulations! Now might be a good time to set some new goals...
Diet-related and body-related challenges come up A LOT with my clients; not surprising given the dysfunctional state of many of our systems - food, health & social, financial, environmental, etc. And so I almost always start with diet & nutrition. It is absolutely foundational. You can’t grow strong health in weak soil. For many clients this is their core focus; where they want to achieve key results. Others use a newly acquired health & vibrancy as a spring board to deeper inquiry. But without that base, without health & aliveness & vibrancy, it’s very difficult to hold the focus required to expand to the heights of consciousness & being available to us all.
