I practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected.

 

Does stress at your job or in your relationship(s) cause you to overeat? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? As we work together, we will look at how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole. I work with my clients to get in touch with their body’s needs because I understand that life changes and so will your needs change. Ultimately, it's about education and developing greater awareness. I want to equip you with the self-awareness to make the best decisions for yourself in any given circumstance. I believe each person is fully capable of making well-informed decisions as their own expert.

Given the state of our modern world, which is largely focused on consumerism, instant gratification and obsession with status, it's not surprising people are confused. Our food systems are broken, our water is contaminated, our home environment is polluted with EMFs and chemical toxicity, our social lives revolve around media companies that hijack dopamine-release in the brain... it's no wonder more and more people are totally disconnected from a health and vibrancy that is actually our innate state.

It all starts with intention. What do you want? What are your goals, what is not working, what do you want to achieve, what are you looking to experience? These questions need to be examined.

Let’s define what you value most from your wellbeing. We’ll use these visions to motivate specific goals that bring you closer to where you want to be. As your coach, I will not dictate a diet for you, but together we will explore powerful options & why some foods make you feel better than others and how to strategically use that feedback. Together we’ll co-create your health goals within reasonable time frames and actionable objectives so you know exactly what you’re working toward.

Given half a chance, your body wants to heal. It's natural state is balance (homeostasis). The challenge is unpicking the obstacles & obstacles we create, to that balance. 

Integrated Approach

We'll explore many diverse ideas together. True health is not dependent on how much broccoli you eat, or how 'good' you are. We are multi-faceted, multi-dimensional creatures and our health is equally multi-faceted. For convenience I operate within a broad framework that I call: MIND, BODY, HEART & SOUL. It provides useful boundaries for the work that we usually undertake & is a powerful transformational framework.  

Within this transformative framework, I use a model known as the 'circle of life,' which provides a more detailed examination of primary and secondary sources of nourishment. In the pursuit of true health, I recognise that it's not solely reliant on the food we consume but also on various lifestyle factors. These encompass our relationships, physical activity, spirituality, and careers, all of which are considered primary 'foods.' Interestingly, the actual food we eat falls under the category of secondary nourishment. These are some of the concepts we'll delve into as we craft a personalised plan that considers your 'whole self,' ensuring a holistic approach to your well-being.

The Circle of Life is a valuable model for gaining insights into your distinctive needs and achieving balance across various aspects of life, especially during times of feeling stuck or uncertain about where to direct your energy. Through increased awareness, you can pinpoint areas that are well-nourished and those that require more attention. This process empowers you to maintain a continuous and holistic approach to caring for your body, mind, heart and soul.
